CARING ACROSS GENERATIONS

Schools, Families, and Youth

  • Support community schools in District 11, the district with the highest number of youth in the city

  • Expand childcare subsidies for families making less than $225k annually

  • Protect funding for K-12 education and extracurricular activities

  • Invest in free before and after-school programs 

  • Identify site for affordable educator housing in D11

  • Incentivize more independent childcare facilities throughout the district for accessible options

  • Increase community programming for youth at underutilized sites

  • Protect Free City College and ensure City College remains a community college


Caring for our Seniors

  • Build more senior housing

  • Have more facilities and in-language programs for seniors

  • Continue to support in-home care workers by ensuring their workers’ rights in order for them to care for our seniors and people with disabilities 


Investing in our workforce

  • Invest in job training programs with pathways to good paying jobs

  • Advocate for policies that prioritize and enforce workers’ rights, especially their right to organize

  • Supporting programs that do in-language workers right outreach to low-wage workers
